Hi there doc. I have a eight month old little girl. I started her on solids (rice cereal) at 5.5 months, started out a bit wishy washy but it is going well now,but all she wants to eat is cereal. I have tried everything now. Purity, olli organic, home cooked, home cooked mixed with jarred food, but nothing. She pulls her face and then spits it out. Oh but she loves the olli organic guava and the purity fruits.she doesn' t like the others though and i can' t get her to eat anything with protein in,because i thought she needs that by now? So is it okay for her to only be eating the cereal and puddings?i stil breastfeed and supplement with formula. Also i weighed her last week and she is 8.5kg and 71cm,i was wondering whether this is okay? She gains an average of 100g per week,as i weigh her every month and she gains 400g per month. Thank you doc.

Your baby's weight is exactly on the average for her age so there is no need for concern. Just have patience. Try and introduce only one new food at a time and never try to force her to eat anything.

I forgot to add that she has two teeth, started crawling at 6 months and is now starting to walk against our furniture so i' m worried that she needs more than just the cereal.
