Smelly urine

i am a first time single mom and probably a bit paronoid at the best of times :) i have a beautiful 14month girl! for the past 2 weeks or so she has been wetting through her nappies (no matter what nappies it is!) any way the urine has a very strange smell, not ammonia almost fishy i guess? it just is not normal to her normal nappies? what could cause this and is there anything to worry about?? Also there has been no change to her diet she is eating as normal and drinking as normal? she has had a slight rash for about 3 days now, it is not clearing up have been using vaginal cream (perscribed by doc) pseudocrem and normal fissans paste. normally takes a day to clear and nothing is working?
any way i just hope i am not being paranoid etc. :)

You are certainly not being paranoid. Did you mention this to your doctor when you were given the Sudacrem? It is possible that your baby has a urinary infection. Her urine should be tested by the doctor. At the same time ask your doctor about your baby's rash. She may have a candida rash as it does not get better with the vaginal cream, Sudacrem or with the Fissan's paste.

Thanks Doc, the rash is gone. We had gotten the sudacrem a couple months ago due to the same kind of rash. there was no funny urine smell then.
she is by her father this weekend so i will ask him to take her to the doc rather, as this morning it was the same thing again, except without the rash?
