Smelly breath for more that a week

Dear Prof

My 4 yo son has had a smelly breath for more than a week now. I suspect yet another sinus infection. He is on Avamys and Allecet, but still gets sinus infections. No runny nose at all. Last time we saw his paed I asked that he be tested for the type of infection before being given antibiotics as he had 4 courses of antibiotics in 6 months last year, which is a bit ridiculous. He is not sick, but is having accidents urinating which I am starting to suspect goes hand in hand with colds? does this make any sense at all? Should have him tested, or sit it out?

Many thanks as always!

It is unlikely that your son's sinus infection is directly linked to him wetting himself or his bed. Try to clear his nose by using a saline nasal spray very regularly or even better the new Flo Kids Sinus Irrigation Kit at least twice daily when he is troubled by sinus infection. This kit should be available at Dis Chem.
