body odour is usually an early sign of the onset of puberty in children. As your daughter is only 6 years old she is obviously too young to be entering puberty already. This early onset of puberty is known as 'precocious puberty'Your daughter should be seen by a paediatrician about her early start to puberty. In the meantime she can use a low allergy non-alcohol containing underarm deoderant.

I really like the advise of Tessa and Lynette and I sure hope your little ones will get relief soon. I have a grand daughter that has always and still does have sweating problems. Even her hands sweat like mad.

Hi all, my daughter also has the problem and I just use the alcohol free roll-on. Also my previous one had the same problem and I assume I also had and it might be hereditary. what I noticed was that small rash appears in the armpits which might contribute to this. It troubles more in summer than in winter. So a roll-on would do, but check what suits her since they can be sensitive.

Hi guys my daughter also developed very early on and that subject has been a problem ever since. She has become so eco enamoured and discovered that equal amounts of Maizena (Corn Starch) and Bicarb of soda with a couple of drops of Sage/Eucalyptus/ any nice smelling oil shaken up together in an old spice bottle with a top that has little dispensing holes in (salt and peppper shakers) works very well. For such littlies that would be the best way to start as far as I am concerned. Hope it works for you.

Lindi there are many of us mothers like you, my daughter developed smelly armpits age 7. I wash them carefully daily and apply a skin-friendly roll-on which has no alcohol. Our children are developing quite a bit earlier than we did. Since I started using gentle roll-on she has no problem at all. My suggestion, dab a little perfume elsewhere on yr daughter too, like her wrists or something, so that she dsnt think its just about her armpits but about smellling beautiful. Tell her a real lady should always smell beautiful, dnt tell her ur doing it because she has a problem. There are some nice smelling kiddy perfumes out there but I suggest you just use Johnson''s Baby Cologne. Tel her its all part of being a princess.

Maybe its heredity, you can try using shower to shower unscented deoderant or roll on.
