Q.

Smelly Ampits

Dear Doc,

I have a daughter of 4, she has a problem of smelly ampits and this problem is persitant since last year. She used to copy us and use a roll-on and afterwards she started having this problem. She doesn''t have a problem of excessive sweat. I took her to a GP and she recommended DRICLOR AND AMOXYCILLIN. I am bit worried with Driclor because it has alcohol and aluminium chloride. PLEASE HELP!!

The question is actually why should your young daughter of 4 years have body odour like this? As this may be a sign of early puberty, also known as 'precocious puberty', it is important that your little daughter is seen by a paediatrician. She may need to have some blood and urine tests done.
