SLIT -8 yr old son

Hi Prof,

4 years ago, you gave me excellent advice, my son has completed his de-sentisation (3yrs) for grass, as he was diagnosed with an extremely high allergy to grass.
His quality of life has improved dramatically, his daily medication
is only 1 deselex tablet daily and 1 spray of Nasonex in each nostril. In fact he has adjusted so well that he even plays rugby.

The point is he is now desentised, however there is still a chronic post nasal drip, I can' t believe that there is nothing in this world that can dry this, as it causes a terrible cough every two weeks, which is traumatic as the humidifier goes on in the evenings to loosten the phlegm, vicks is rubbed on him, he drinks actophlegm cough mixture, then all of sudden it' s over.

PLEASE HELP, is there anything that you know of that could help him with this.

Apologise for the history, but you need to know what leads to this current situation.

Thanks for all of the information you have provided. It is very important to use a saline nose spray every day to help to keep your son's nose clear. You can either use Salex nasal spray or Sterimar spray. It is best to use the spray twice a day.
