Q.

Sleepless Nights

Hi Doc,
My baby boy is almost 10 months old. He weights 10.6kg and is 74cm long. He slept through from 4 months. But since he turned 9 months (23rd April), he started to wake up at night, crying profoundly. We tried everything - different diet, more fluids, checked his cloths etc... He still wakes up more than twice every night, and every time he cries... What can be wrong?? He looks so unhappy. He has a dry cough, but it' s nothing serious...
Hope you can help!!!
Surika

Paediatrician

One of the most likely causes for your baby's symptoms is acid reflux, especially as he has a slight cough as well. This is due to breathing in very tiny amounts of food which he is refluxing. It is important for your baby to be seen and properly tested by a paediatrician.
