Hi Doc my baby boy is 6 months old, he has been on solids for about 3 weeks. He has not slept through the night from birth, and is still waking up at least twice a night to drink, even though he is on 3 meals a day, plus plenty of breastmilk with meals , and between meals, is there anything else i can do to help him sleep through the night, or is this normal behaviour? Also I would like to know which baby cereals are better the ones without milk added (add your own milk) or the ones with milk added already? Can the ones with milk added cause allergies in a baby?

This is a rather difficult question because your baby seems to be on the correct diet. This may simply be a habit he has developed as it has been going on since birth, but he may be hungry. Another possibility now is that he is teething. It may help to supplement his feeds at night by giving him a formula for hungry babies such as using lactogen2. The cereals with milk are excellent for most babies except those with a milk allergy or lactose intolerance. You can get cereals without mik and the rice and maize cereals of this kind are very popular.
