Sleeping problems

My 9 month old son is having problems sleeping. He wakes up every hour to two hours up crying. He tries to sit up, and then fall back asleep instantly. Sometimes he drink some milk and then fall back asleep.

He was 4 weeks premature, but is now 8.8 kg. He isn''t fond of milk but eats everything I offer. He hasn''t started teething yet.

During the day he is fine, but he only sleeps 1hour at a time with intervals of 2-3 hours apart.

From 3 - 5 months he slept through and then it started.

Your baby son's weight is good and is almost on the average for his age, so with him being 4 weeks premature you have done well. Something started worrying him at around 5 months. The most likely cause is teething as his teeth have not appeared yet but the first actual signs of teething probably occured at about 5 months. His main source of nutrition should be his milk, not solids.he may not like the taste of his present formula and it is worthwhile thinking about trying another formula that he may prefer.
