It is difficult to change things now. Your baby is now over the real danger period and I am sure is quite able to lift her and turn head by herself by now, so there is no real reason to worry.

There is much you can do about her choice of sleep position, but you can do the following:
1. get a breathe eezy mattress
2. remove everything from the bed and rather dress baby warmly, plus a light small blanket so that she can''t get herself twisted or have it block het nose.

Hi there. My little boy is turning 6 months on the 23rd and for the past month and a half now has been sleeping on his tummy. If you are unsure, put her to sleep and lay her on her tummy and watch her if you want and you will see that when she turns her head she will lift and turn it to the other side. I was the same - thought he would put his face down the whole time, but watching him put my mind at ease!
