Q.

Sleeping habits for month old

My son is month and used to me ocking him to sleep. He will be going to a daycare mother in another four weeks who might not have the time to rock him to sleep. I have started changing the habit by rocking him until he gets drosy them put him down with his dummy.

Sometimes he is very tired and fights the sleep, so that when I lie him down he screams really loud. I then just continue putting the dummy in and leaving until he settles down which can take up to an hour sometimes. Some people say I should just let him scream until he calms down but that feels a bit harsh. Am I doing the right thing by doing it the way described above?
