Childhood Diseases

We are going on holiday mid March and going away with my little girls cousin, who is 29 months and my girl is 26 months. I am a little worried about the fact that my daughter goes to sleep by 08:15 latest in the evenings and her cousin only goes by 21:30. Also my daughter still sleeps in the afternoons on weekends for 2 hours - her cousin doesnt.
Now when we away and they are playing and having fun, do you think i should insist that she still sleeps in the afternoon or do you think if she doesnt want to sleep due to all the excitement i should leave her and let her go to sleep early rather? She has not slept in the afternoon twice in her life and both times she passed out at 18h00 in the evening and slept right through till 07:00 - I feel guilty tho for some reason - so you think this is unhealthy for her?

It will not do your little girl any harm if she misses the occasional afternoon sleep. She has a very good sleep pattern at night which you should carefully maintain while she is on holiday.
