skin rash

Hi dr. my baby is 16 months old an has a skin rash on her right thigh and right side of her tummy and right arm, nothing on the left side. it started about 2 months ago and keeps getting worse. she was on isomil since birth, changed her to NAN and when the rash started put her back on isomil, however the rash is still there. I''ve now put her on Nido growing up milk. We''ve been giving her the homeopathic vaccine, can this cause the rash? We''ve been told there is no side effects to this vaccine,is this true? can you please help me?

It is very difficult to be able to diagnose a rash without being able to examine your baby. Her rash is unlikely to be due to eczema or to an allergy as it is on one side of her body only.It is possible that her rash is due to ringworm which is caused by a fungal infection of the skin. Try the following treatment: Stop the homeopathic vaccine as it is not helping to clear her rash and apply Canesten cream twice daily to the rash. If your baby's rash is not better after 10 days please take her to see a skin specialist so that a proper diagnosis can be made.
