Q.

Skin peeling on fingers

My 2 year old son is feeling alot of discomfort with some of his fingers. The skin is peeling off the fingers just above the nail and he keeps saying " sore" . It doesnt bleed, but the skin is open on a few of them. I know I get it a few times and it is painful, but what could be the cause?

The usual cause for this follows a viral infection called hand foot and mouth disease. Apply Bepanthen cream to your sons fingers and see if this helps him.If this does not help he may have a fungal infection of his fingers or rather his nails and he should be seen by a dermatologist.
