My daughter went to a doctor for chronic sinusitis. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and spray for the nose. She finished the medication in ten days time and just a day after, she started agian with itching eyes and the dark rings and a rash around her eyes and a lot of mucus that causes her to cough. She is schedules for an operation i n 2 weeks time to remove her adenoids and tonsils.
What can be done now?
Thanks Doc.

I do not think that your daughter has sinusitis. It seems to me based on what you have written here that she has a problem called allergic rhinitis which is a nasal allergy problem as well as allergic conjunctivitis which is an eye allergy problem. She needs to be seen by a paediatrician and a proper diagnosis needs to be made of her illness. The operation must be postponed or even cancelled until you know exactly what is causing your daughter's symptoms. Please let me know what the paediatrician finds when you have seen him/her.
