Q.

Sinus infection

Hi
I have 14months daughter whom I suspect is suffering from sinus infection because every time when is cloudy she struggles to breath and start rubbing her nose and she gets irritated, and at night struggles to sleep. We once took her to a Dr but she had bronchitis then and she was admitted for a week..
Kindly advise what can I do??

Babies of 14 months do not have sinuses yet so your baby does not have sinusitis. With your description of her symptoms, the most likely cause of her blocked nose is nasal allergy also known as allergic rhinitis. Try her on a safe antihistamine at night such as Allecet syrup. The dose for your baby of Allecet syrup is 2.5ml at night. Also use saline nose drops or spray in her nose twice daily.
