Hi there

My son of 8 months have sinus. I can just hear it, his diet does not include wheat just yet, and we went over to soy milk. Any thing else I can do? Should I go see pead? Otherwise he eats well, and is very healthy.

Thank you

Your baby of 8 months does not have his sinuses formed yet so he cannot have a sinus problem at his age. If he has a blocked nose then he either has enlargement of his adenoids or he may have an allergy causing his nose to run and to be blocked.Allergy to milk is the most common allergic cause at this age. You have stopped milk with no real improvement. Try using saline nose drops or spray twice a day and see if this helps to clear your baby's nose.If there is no improvemnet it would be best to take him to see your paediatrician as babies need to be able to breathe through an open nose.
