Children of this age do not get bronchitis as such but they can get a chest infection called 'bronchiolitis' where the smallest airways in the lung are infected. The usual cause is a virus infection which of course is not cured by antibiotics. This illness often lasts for 2 weeks or longer. She must use Salex nose drops in her nose twice a day. She should lie on her back on her bed when the drops are put into her nose.Give her Mucospect or Flemex syrup to clear her chest of mucous.
