Q.

Sick 4 month old

Evening Doctor.

My baby girl is 4 months old. Last week her nose was blocked and I kept on using Saline in her nose. I also took her to the paediatrician. He said she is fine as long as her nose stays clear.
This week her nose seems to be clear, but she is coughing, it is a very wet cough. It is also affecting her drinking her milk. She is only drinking 120ml Isomil four times a day. Her milk intake used to be much more. She would drink atleast 6 bottles a day of 120mls. She wakes up at about 1:30 am crying as if she''s hungry, but when I give her milk, she only drinks about 30mls.

While your baby is ill she will not be able to drink as much as normal. You are treating her correctly and as her nose clears she will be able to feed better.
