Severe stomach cramps

My son of 9 is suffering from severe stomach cramps that can go on for hours. He will fold into a little ball and sometimes he will screem in pain.
The symptoms are: 1) big bloated stomach that seems firm to the touch 2) there''s a rumbling noise coming from the lower abdomenal area.
I have taken him to Doctors but the usual diagnostic is that it is just gas that will pass by itself. Blood was also send away but no alergies were detected.
It''s not something piticular that he eats or drinks and it''s not imosional distress that causes this. His stools is normal and he passes one at least once a day.

Can you please tell me why you think this happens and what I can give him for the pain if it is realy just gas.

This sounds like a condition called abdominal migraine. This illness is more common in children who have parents who may have migraine headaches. Many children who have abdominal migraine go on to develop migraine headaches in adult life. Your son's symptoms are typical of abdominal migraine. He should not eat any food containing the natural chemical called tyramine which is found in yellow cheese, bananas, marmite, chocolate and cola drinks. He must also not eat any foods with the additive called MSG. Let me know if your son improves on this diet and I will advise the next step.

Thanks a mill Doc.
He does rather like his cheese, marmite and cola drinks but I''m sure it will help if I tell him the doctor said he should not.
Will keep you up to date

Sorry, I just wanted to add that I have been deworming him every six months, so that could also not be the cause.
