severe heart defect

My daughter, Leahne'  was born on the 3 sept 09,doctors told us that she has a severe heart defect,her heart is formed on the right side of her chest,and its upside down and back to front.The heartchamber did not develope at all,and that the ' longslagaar'  is also absent. The letter they gave state her condition as " n komplekse nie-opereerbare sianotiese hartletsel pulmonale atresie en volledige av kanaal nie vir aktiewe resussitasie" 

Please can you help us is there any possibility that there is something that you can do for her,and what is the life expectising of this nature? she is still doing well and weigh more than 4kg.

Judging from the information that you have given me, your baby daughter does indeed appear to have a very serious heart defect. It would be worthwhile getting the best paediatric cardiology opinion in the country. Try and get an appointment to see the paediatric cardiologist at the Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town.
