Severe constipation in 3 year old

Hi there. Ever since a homeopath prescribed medication for my son, he suffers from severe constipation. I have now stopped the medication but the problem persists. I have tried Duphalac but 4 x 5mls hasn' t sent him to the toilet! The last time he passed any stool was Saturday afternoon. He also has a very yellow tongue that doesn' t smell nice. I have made an appointment with a paed for tomorrow! What am I up against here? I need to prepare myself!

Your son is now so constipated that he cannot pass any stool even after being given a good dose of Duphalac.I do not want to anticipate how your doctor will treat your son, but it does seem that he will need an enema to relieve him.
