Q.

Seretide

Hi,
My daughter is on seretide pump and has " viral wheezing"  as you said and you also agreed the seretide pump with saline spray is the correct treatment my paed used.
Just wanted to ask: the seretide pump also has cortisone in it so wont it retard my daughters growth like celestamein? she is 17 months old.
2. I spray a bit of the saline in her mouth after i have given her the pump to " rinse'' her mouth but obviously she doesnt spit - is this necessary?
thanks a mill doctor - you are a livesaver!

You are welcome. The amount of cortisone in Seretide is extremely small and will definitely not affect your daughter's growth. It would be best not to use the saline mouth wash as I am concerned that she will swallow too much salt every day. You can use a bit of water instead.
