Q.

Seperation

Hi, Please can you help me... I have a 3 year old daughter- her father and I split up about 4 months ago, when she sleeps, she cries for her dad, she asks me to call her dad so she can say hello, she cries before she sleeps for her dad. And this morning she said she wants to go stay by her dad?? She sees her dad on a Wed, and every second weekend (but doesnt sleep over). Please can you help me to help her as well as me feel at ease... What am I doing wrong?

It is not you that is doing anything wrong, but your little daughter is missing her father terribly.Girls of this age are usually very fond of their fathers. There is no easy solution here, but your daughter is really struggling to come to grips with the fact that her dad is not at home any more. It may help her to see a child psychologist as she really needs help and support now.
