Sensitive Ears

My 3 yr old seems to have sensitive ears. If the TV is on or a radio, he always turns it down and says it is too loud. He holds his hands over his ears when the toilet is being flushed. The surprising thing is that he was playing with a whistle yesterday and that didn' t seem to bother him. Of course it nearly blew everyone elses eardrums.......... Should I be concerned?

hi sally, my LB now 3 had more or less the same thing going for him, he had lots of ear infections and couldn' t stand some noises, like certian motorbikes, bladesaws and so forth. i took him to ent specialist and he recommended grommets, and since then he was fine. its been 8 months.
