Seeing stars

Hi

My daughter is 6 1/2 yrs old. She is generally healthy and hasnt been sick recently. Twice this week- Tuesday and today- she complained that she' s been seeing stars floating infront of her eyes for a few seconds. Yesterday and today she had been quite tired- more than usual. she slept well too. Should I be concerened?

Yes this complaint is of concern. Seeing stars like this is known as an aura and usually means that your child may be going to develop a migraine headache or is also associated with some forms of epilepsy. If the problem persists please ask your paediatrician to see your child.
