Q.

S26 Gold Step 2

My baby is on S26 Gold and since she turned six months I changed her to the Step 2 (6-12m) S26 Gold. She is terribly constipated now. I even tried mixing half step 1 and half step 2 but she is still constipated. Nothing else has changed in her diet. She only gets Stage 1 cereal in the morning, pureed fruit in the afternoon and carrots, butternut, pumpkin or sweet potato for supper. Should I rather just change her back to Step 1? A doctor advised to give her Duphalac but I probably can'  t give Duphalac the entire time?? (I have tried brown sugar in her rooibos and prunes)

It is probably the formula that is causing your baby's constipation. Try her on Lactogen 2 and see if she improves.

Just hang on.. My baby also got terribly constipated when I switched to Gold nr 2... I bought the Cerelac Oats &  Prunes Cerial and that worked great.. He is 8 months now.. and no constipation issues.. He' s body should just adapt to the new formula... Or u could try 5ml Milk of magnesium once..
Good luck!
