Q.

Runny tummy and vomitting!

i have a two year old who for the last week has been vomitting and has a runny tummy. I have been to see the doctor and even took him to the ER. they say its a viral infection and can give nothing. I should jsut keep his fluids up. surely there has to be a better explaination for this. I have to make the runny tummy stop? please help

You are completely correct.Your little son has very SEVERE GASTRO-ENTERITIS. While it may well be caused by a virus infection,probably the Rotavirus, the fact that he is still vomiting and still has diarrjhoea is of serious concern.Take him back to the ER. Emphase the fact that your son is still VOMITING and has diarrhoea after 2 weeks! Your son requires admission to hospital for treatment including intravenous fluids.
