Q.

runny nose

Hi doctor my baby girl is 8.5 months old. She on sunday night she had a blocked nose and I used Iliadin once and thereafter he nose was runny. This morning however she started coughing. She does nie have a fever and she is eating, drinking and sleeping as normally. what medicine can I give her to alleviate her symptoms. I suspect it is allergies because she also gets aczcema.

You are probably correct. It does seem that your baby daughter may have a nasal allergy. She is still very young and I am reluctant to recommend a cortisone containing nasal spray for her at this age. Rather use saline nose drops or spray. Try Salex nose drops twice daily. Also give her a very safe non-sedating antihistamine such as Allecet syrup 2.5ml once daily.
