RSV friend + my healthy child

hi. My toddler is 2. We stay at home + she is rather healthy. My friend''s toddler also 2, was in nursey. And 2 months ago, he was diagnosed with RSV virus by their paed. He got well. And i have been looking after him for 3 weeks now. Is my toddler in any danger? She has started with a 2nd flu - running nose in these 3 weeks. But now her runny nose, isnt clear fluid (snot) its now almost white. Their paed told them, their toddler will have this virus 3-4 years. Am i harming my toddler? Can she get it? With her runny nose? But his nose is clear noww, not running. Pls help

RSV virus is extteremely infectious and is very easily passed from child to child or to adults as well. It is spread by contact such as simply by touching. Also children may get repeated infections with the same virus. So it is very likely that your little girl has picked up another RSV infection. Use saline nasal spray to clear her blocked nose.

It is contagious as when my lg was in hospital with it last year she had to stay in her room. It is only contagious for a while though.
