Q.

Ringworm

My 7 year old daughter got a ringworm on her forehead. I got an " over the counter"  ointment from the pharmacy, he also said that it will dissappear after 2-3 weeks, but it is still there after more than 5 weeks.

This is very common with this kind of ringworm which is known as 'tinea capitis'. Your daughtert needs to go onto a treatment that is taken by mouth. This is Griseofulvin syrup 250mg once daily for 6 weeks. Do not miss single dose during the 6 weeks.Speak to your pharmacist about the Griseofulvin.
