Ringworm

Dear Doc

Please advise what is the best oitnment/lotion to use to get rid of ringworms on my 4 year old. He''s not even aware that they are there, they don''t bother him but I want treat them before they get worse? Does De-worming help kids not to get ringworms? Is de-worming necessary?

De-worming will not help for ringworm. Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin and is not due to worms. Use Canesten cream morning and evening and the ringworm will soon clear up. Wash your hands well after applying the ointment as ringworm is very catchy and you may also start getting this skin rash.
