Rhinitis Allery

Hi Prof

How can i ease my 4 year old''s allergy problem? i have cut down dairy products, potato chips, spicy food etc but he still has an on and off chesty couph and blocked nose. We have tried singulair, delelex, Aspelone but he becomes ok and then get sick again. He goe to creche and could it be caused by the dusty play area in the school? i find that they play in the sand on a daily basis..

Your son's nasal allergy is not caused by sand so that is not his problem. You need to take your son to a paediatric allergy expert so that he can be tested to find our what is causing his allergies. He also needs to be put onto more effective treatment for his allergic rhinitis. I think that he may have asthma as well and this also needs to be properly treated.
