Q.

Rett Syndrome

Good day,

I would like to know if there are any care centres for children who have Rett syndrome.

I am trying to find places for a friend who has a child with Rett syndrome and I t is not easy.

She stays in the East Gauteng area.

Would you be able to help?

Retts syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder which occurs almost exclusively in little girls. The condition must have been diagnosed by a paediatric neurologist. This would be the ideal person to advise about possible care centres for your friend's child.

The information provided does not constitute a diagnosis of your condition. You should consult a medical practitioner or other appropriate health care professional for a physical exmanication, diagnosis and formal advice.
