Q.

Restless Sleeper

Hi doc. Since Saturday my 8 month old is tossing and turning really bad during the night. He doesn' t have a blocked nose. He doesn' t have any teeth yet so he could be teething but wouldn' t he be in pain then? He doesn' t wake up from it but cries in his sleep then I just pop in his dummy and change his position because he gets himself in very uncomfortable positions. Then he would sleep for a few minutes and then start again. He is not too hot and not too cold so it is not that.

He had a very big fright on Saturday because of a helicoper flying by constantly and now he is also scared of traffic.
Could he be having bad dreams? He does wake up very friendly in the morning.

The last few sentences appear to contain the answer to your question. It is possible that your baby is going through a period where he is having a few bad dreams. This does not usually last for too long.He seems well and happy and he may be teething, but does not seem to have any pain.
