Q.

Restless

My son is 9months and goes to creche during the day whilst i am at work. The problem that i am having is that he''s a light sleeper and whenever he''s asleep he wants me next to him. I''ve tried putting teddy bears next to him but he throws them away. I cant sleep at night as whenever i move he wakes up thinking that i''m leaving and starts screaming demanding attention. Another thing is that he wakes up very early, around 4h00 in the morning and wants to play and that is the time when i''m suppose to be ready but i cant cause he starts crying when i put him down which led to me preparing for work after he leaves for creche. This is problematic for me as i''m always late for work and forever tired. I''m not sure how to arrange a sleeping pattern for him or make him feel safe without me being there all the time?

This may not be a simple problem to sort out as your baby is only 9 months old and is unusually demanding. It may help to give him a special formula in the evening at bedtime called Novalac SD [sweet dreams]He should sleep better and not be such a light sleeper and keep on waking so often.
