Re:sitting up

Hi with ref to prev question there was a bit of a misunderstanding as my son was not prem at all. He was born at 38 weeks via c-section, hence I am concerned that he can''t sit up yet. He can sit in a high chair but when you take him out he just falls forward. He will be 8 months on the 7th of December, do I need to be very concerned??? Thanks

Paediatrician

Your baby was only 2 weeks premature so his age does not really need to be adjusted. He does not show any sign of being ready to sit at 8 months. If he is not sitting by the end of another 4 weeks he should be seen by a paediatrician.
