Removing pine tree smell from baby hands

My baby has been playing with pine tree branches at her creche and I can' t get that smell out of her hands. What can I do to make it better and get my baby smell like hands back? I' ve washed and washed and used dettol in her bath, but that smell sticks to her little hands and I think she plays with the branches everyday. Any advice?

Pine trees produce very sticky resin which is difficult to remove once on your hands. It would be unwise to use any solvents to remove the resin from your baby's hands. If there is no actual resin but only a pine smell there is no need to scrub too hard as you will cause a rash on her hands. Do not use Dettol.
