Childhood Diseases

My baby is now 14 months old. She had reflux when she was younger and was on Losec. I stopped the Losec when she was 6 months, and she had no symptoms after that. She was on S26 Gold, and from a year she was on NIdo. It has happened twice now where she throws up after she had her last bottle. She was still sitting upright when she threw up. With the reflux it was always bad when she was lying down.

She also threw up twice in the morning on the way to the creche (on other days than the evening sick ones). In the evenings she cried before throwing up, but she seems fine after throwing up, and she doesn' t have any other symptoms e.g fever. In the mornings she would suddenly start coughing and then throw up.

How do I know if it is the reflux that has returned, or if it is something else?

This kind of vomiting does not appear to be due to reflux. It seems to be happening more often lately but your daughter does not appear to be ill. In spite of her not appearing ill it is always best to find the cause of the vomiting as some serious illnesses in children can start off just with vomiting. I recommend that she be seen by your paediatrician.
