Q.

Reflux milk

What is Pelatgon milk for and why do some people recommend it for reflux when it is acidified milk?

A.

Paediatrician

Pelargon is a biologically acidified milk that has some anti-bacterial properties. It is a formula that is often recommended for infants who live in less than ideal hygienic conditions. I have not previously heard of it being recommended for babies with reflux. Being slightly acid it would not have any advantage over any other formula especially those specially formulated for babies with reflux such as NAN AR or Novalac AR.
