reflux in 3yr old?

Hallo Doc, hope you can help...my 3 and a half yr old i think has reflux..whenever we eat something, it comes back up...she plays with it in her mouth for a while and then swallows it back again...this has been happening for about 8mths now..it does not seem to bother her but it has become worse in the last 4 mths...i had her at the dr and he gave me gaviscon and suggested i stay away from all acid foods ect....how also wants to send her for bloods to test for any food allergies...Is this a accurate diagnoses? or what other treatement can you suggest? this is just our normal GP..do you suggest I take her to a Pead?

Refux is very common in babies up to the age of about 18 months. After that reflux is either more severe than usual or there is a specific cause for the reflux such as a possible food allergy or even a psychological cause. It would be best to ask you paediatrician to see her.
