reflux baby

hi dr

my baby is 3 months old now and spits up almost instantly after a feed especially after a breastfeed, is that normal? i have just put him onto s26 gold and he keeps it in at times with a little spitting up and at other times its all over the floor- the dr suggetsed i use maxilon syrup 3 times a day is that fine? also how long should i keep him upright after a feed? when can i expect this to stop as i' m running out of clothes, cloths and at times patience :)

If you are changing to a formula now it would be best to put your baby directly onto an anti-reflux formula. Try Novalac AR and see if he improves. You may not need to use any medicines once your baby is on this formula.

My baby also struggled with reflux - tried all the meds but nothing worked. Til I tried Nestargel - its a powder that thickens the water (alot better than AR formula' s). Good luck
