Reflux- 4month old

My 4 month old baby has reflux. I was told by a nurse to use Nestargel. How much should be used per feed? How long does it take to start working?

Nestragel is used to thicken your baby's formula. It often works very well where a baby has mild reflux. The usual mixture is 1 gram of Nestragel to 115ml of formula.Note that sometimes Nestargel can cause baby's stools to be more frequent and looser than normal.

Hey Shelley.
You need to go to the pediatrician, they prescribe a orange little pill which you give for a few days. Crush it and mix with a bit of water or milk and administer to baby using a dropper. Dr will give you a repeat if it comes back within two weeks. After this, your baby will never have reflux again.
I tried gaviscon but it only helps for one feed...after the second feed it just comes back.
Good luck!
