Dear doc
My baby is turning 3months on the 12th of Nov. He is on novalac AR for reflux problems. It worked fine for him for several weeks, but the past 4 days he has been bringing up milk again. App 50ml per time espesially after a feeding just after a burp. I burp him gently by rubbing his back in a sircular motion. He does not reflux during the night feedings. He has a runny nose and there is a fair amount of slime that comes out with the milk. What could this be and how can I stop it. He also blows bubbles with his saliva. Could all of this have something to do with teeth??? Also loves sucking his index finger. Please help!!!

Your baby has a cold now. You need to keep his nose as clear as possible by using infant saline nose drops twice daily. Once his cold is over he should reflux less becuase it is the mucous dripping down from the back of his nose from his cold that is causing him to bring up some mucous with his milk. If he continues to reflux he should be seen again by his paediatrician.
