Q.

Reflux

If Ive just told my Paed how my child is doing and he said she has reflux, how do we REALLY know that she does indeed have reflux???Isthere never a proper diagnosis??? Or one just based on symptoms???

Im scared to use the losec and motilium if at the end of the day the problem might just not be reflux at all???? What are the chances??
Wont the meds be bad for her if its not actually really reflux??

Paediatrician

There are special tests that your paediatrician can do to prove that your baby has reflux. In many or even most cases the paediatrician will make the diagnosis based on a baby's symptoms. The medicines that your paediatrician has prescribed are the correct ones to treat reflux and these medicines are safe. If you are concerned about the diagnosis your paediatrician can do the tests to definitely prove the diagnosis.
