Hi Dr. My daughter is 3 years old and when she was an infant was on Losec MUPS for reflux. At the age of 1yr the meds were stopped and never complains about " eina''s" . She is currently (&  been on since 6 months of age) on Singulair for wheezing and Zyrtec as her ENT says to treat her as an atopic allergic patient, RAST tests were neg at 9 months. Her ENT has now prescribed Lanzaporole 15mg daily as he says she will always have reflux and this could prevent ear and upper respiratory infections.
Would you suggest this medication is appropraite to give her with her Singulair and Zytrec. I also give her Creche Guard and Zinplex.
Many Thanks

It does not appear that your little girl is allergic as there is no evidence that she is. She should have grown out of her reflux problem by now. She does not need the Lanzaparole and there is no reason why she should be on Zyrtec either which is an antihistamine used for nansal allergies. She should stay on the Singulair 4mg daily.
