Q.

Reflux

Hi, my little boy is 8 months old, he is struggling with REFLUX. EVERY time he eats or drinks he gets serious reflux.
I give him 2ml of Ulsanic suspension after every meal/bottle.

Is there anything you suggest i give him that makes the symptoms a bit less. its always a struggle to get him to sleep.
I used nexiam for 3 months, but that did not seem to work?
Please help...
Thanks

Paediatrician

Your little baby has a real problem with reflux. His reflux is not responding to treatment with Ulsanic. There are more effective treatments available. The most likely combination of medicines to help your baby is the use of Losec Mups together with Motilium. Please go back to your paediatrician and inform him/her that your baby is struggling with reflux and really needs to be on more effective tretament. Please let me know how your baby is once he is on the new treatment.

I agree my son was on Losec and he really did very well - you must sort the reflux out asap because it can cause all sort of problems. My son eventually ended up with his tonsils being taken out and he must have had about 4 sets of grommets. All this due to the reflux that pushed moisture to the back of his airway and not out the mouth.
