Hi doctor, i forgot to mention that my 6 month old is on Isomil feeds since having an episode of diarrhoea for approx. 1month (September)with no other symptoms (no vomiting or weight loss). I was told by his doc that due to the diarrhoea , he would be lactose intolerant for a while ( he was on NAN since birth) therefore he was put on Isomil after trying NAN LF &  Alfare but i have noticed that since being on Isomil for 2 months now, he takes about 3 weeks to gain 200g. ( I must add that whilst he was admitted the diarrhoea still continued for about 3 days after the Isomil and then it resolved to normal stool. His doc recommends dairy-free for a year and all lactose intolerance tests done in hopsital were NAD. Doctors eventually thought it to be Toddlers Diarrhoea (at 4 months)- plse advise should i stick to the Isomil as i' m deeply concerned abt baby' s wt.

It does appear that your baby is not doing well on the soya formula. There is no evidence that he has a lactose intolerance problem. He should start on a cows milk formula again such as S26 Gold or NAN 2.
