Red eyes

My little one is almost 14 months now. I noticed that her eyes are quite red for the past 2 days or so. There is no excess tears or any kind of puss, she isn''t fussier than usual (she is fussy anyway because of her teething), she is eating and drinking very well and she doesn''t have any temperature.
Could the red eyes just be due to excess dust? We just moved to a new home and our yard has a lot of sand at the moment (due to construction). Could the dusty air be bothering her? My family has a history of allergies and sensitivities to dust and I myself have chronic sinusitis.

It seems as if you have made the diagnosis of your baby's red eye problem yourself especially as there does not appear to be any sign of infection. Her eyes could well be irritated by all the dust around your new home. Try wiping her eyes with cotton wool swabs dipped in a dilute saline salution [a quarter teaspoon salt in a cup of boiled and cooled water] Do this twice daily.
