Hi doc

My son is almost 11 months. Last week he started rubbing his eyes and it turned red. I took him to the doctor cause i thought he was teething but there is 2 teeths that came out at the bottom. The doctor gave him some medication and antibiotics, and said he has an allergy. Its going into the second week and baby is still rubbing his eyes and the eyes is still red. The whole white area of the eyes is red. It concerns me alot. Sometimes he cry''s i think becos of the pain and is very restless. Could you give any advice as what i can use. Im very concerned.

It is difficult to know if your baby has an eye allergy problem or his red eyes are due to an eye infection. His eyes are still red in spite of the treatment he has had from the doctor. Antibiotics have not helped. It is important to get a diagnosis of the cause of your babies red eyes. It would be best to take him to be seen by a paediatrician. While you are waiting for an appointment, use a dilute saline solution to wipe his eyes twice a day. Make up the solution using a quarter teaspoonful of salt in a cup of boiled and cooled water. Wipe his eyes with cotton wool dipped in this solution. Wipe his eyes from the nose side of his eyes outwards.

Sounds like dust mite allergy. Im sure homeopathy will help.
Give it a try. Good luck.
